Painted while in Covid19 Isolation, In Iso’ II painted by Catherine Whitting  is a rugged woven landscape of the mind that depicts random interconnections in a web like canvas, where moments of cadmium yellow ignites the undercurrent weight of pthalio blue.  With electric waves of colour  in scarlet reds and tangerine, the landscape is connected across deep terrains. This metaphorically represents our abilities as artists to work in isolation, alone yet together with technology, which enables us to create complete synergy on canvas when there are 800 kilometres and Covid between us. The beauty of this psychological landscape is the fibrous layers that connect colour, texture and tone with a depth of field that makes you wonder if you are looking at the natural or imaginary world.
