Teal Waters - Design Process
The bathroom at Bella Bodies Australia’s residential head office in Sydney’s Northern Beaches designed by St James Whitting embraces the outdoor palette of the garden rock face with glorious three-dimensional tiles from Kalafrana Ceramics.
Bathtubs have personalities. There are many options – be guided by the limitations of your space. Don’t forget how heavy a bathtub can get with one or two bodies and a ton of water! If you are renovating ensure that you can get the bath through all access areas into the bathroom and that the substrate is reinforced and you don’t end up with a sunken bath – literally!
RESEARCH, SOURCE AND STYLE
Wet areas are notoriously difficult to design, but worth every moment of planning time to ensure you get an amazing design solution for your investment in trades! Set the mood, plan the space, improve the usability, design for the future, source responsibly, set your own style and create your own bathing sanctuary that you never want to leave!
Teal Waters - Design Concept
Teal waters concept was created from our clients love of swimming in the waters of Fiji and day spas. The old tired laundry was totally transformed into a garden view sanctuary. The pivotal design solution was opening up the dark and foreboding room with a large scale window to celebrate the natural rock from outside the room. Sipping champagne in a stone bath overlooking a garden oasis – does it get better than this ?
